Sao Paulo, Brazil (AHN Sports) – Due to heavy rains and poor track conditions Sunday’s IZOD IndyCar Series race was postponed to Monday just 14 laps into the event.

Eleven of those first 14 laps were run under caution and IndyCar officials made the call after the race was delayed for more than two hours.

The race will be run Monday on the streets of South America’s largest city, but on Sunday those streets showed little improvement or promise that the event could be continued.

Polesitter Will Power, who has started this 2011 season with four straight poles and has a win, was leading the race when IndyCar officials deemed the track unsafe.

Ryan Briscoe and Takuma Sato will follow behind Power when the race resumes on Monday.

Rain began minutes before the race started and wreaked havoc at the start, taking several drivers out.

Danica Patrick, Simona de Silvestro and Helio Castroneves got together in the first corner and Ryan Hunter-Reay, Tony Kanaan and Oriol Servia struggled through the first chicane on the 2.5-mile, 11-turn Anhembi temporary street circuit.

IndyCar admitted crews to work on the cars during the 2 hours, 23 minutes that the race was red-flagged.

Cars returned to the course under yellow flag in an effort to dry the track, but the red flag flew after only four laps.

Talladega, FL, United States (AHN Sports) – It was a wild ending but Kyle Busch scored his fourth NASCAR Nationwide Series win of the season by capturing the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Mike Wallace’s Chevrolet spun upside down and landed on its roof, freezing the field on Lap 124 with Busch in the lead. On the second attempt at a green-white-checkered finish, Busch scored the win.

The race went seven laps past its scheduled distance and it wasJoey Logano who pushed Busch to the lead while Logano settled for second.

After being involved in a multi-car accident on Lap 89 it looked like Busch’s day was over, so much so that he was ready to take his car to the garage area so that his crew could load it up and get a head start on their trip home.

Crew chief Jason Ratcliff had other ideas, bringing Busch to pit road where a swarm of Joe Gibbs Racing crewmen went to work on repairing his ride. Quick effort during a series of stops allowed Busch to rejoin the field without losing a lap.

“I got hit like three times on the left side and I thought it was killed. I said it was killed,” Busch said. “These guys did a great job putting it back together with great leadership from Jason Ratcliff. This Z-Line Designs Camry doesn’t look the best, but it was certainly the best right there at the end, especially with the guy that was pushing me. Joey was a great teammate today. Can’t thank everybody from the whole JGR organization.”

Joe Nemechek, Brad Keselowski and pole-sitter Elliott Sadler followed the Joe Gibbs drivers across the stripe. Trevor Bayne, Justin Allgaier, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Reed Sorenson and Aric Almirola rounded out the top 10.

“What a wild day. That’s what Talladega is known for. We were in position at the end with Joe (Nemechek). We did everything right today,” said Keselowski. “It was great running with him and I thought that we had a shot at the win. We just didn’t get it. I hope Mike Wallace is OK. I saw a heck of a wreck in my mirror. I’m proud of my team. They gave me a great car with incredible speed.”

The big one in the race came on Lap 88 when 21 cars were collected on the backstretch, collecting frontrunners Jamie McMurray and Steve Wallace.

The race saw multiple red flags so the ending was no surprise.

The American forward Charlie Davies is amongst the top and most promising soccer player for the past few years.  He got a fatal accident that severely injured him. The incident happened around 3:15 in the morning, and crashed along George Washington Memorial Parkway. The other passenger namely Ashley J. Roberta, 22 years old of Phoenix, Md., was killed in the crash. According to the police, the driver that they did not identify lost control of the car, which hit a guardrail and split in half.

Charlie Davies underwent five hours of surgery and describes as “serious condition” at Washington Hospital Center. The spokeperson of the United States Soccer Team Neil Buethe said the Davies injuries are not life threatening but will eventually affects Davies future games. Davies plays a great role for the FC Sochaux in French League and paves way to the debut of his team in June 2007 and played in 17 major games for U.S scoring four goals. The team felt sad when they learned the news and felt sorry for Charlie and his family.

Charlie Davies is great player, he will be a great lost for the team. His partnership with Jozy Altidore is the best dual combination in the game that makes Davies’ speed matches the opponent, and they surely do great in the coming league in South Africa.
