Love and Trust
A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was scared, so he asked his little daughter, “Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don’t fall into the river.”
The little girl said, “No, Dad. You hold my hand.”
”What’s the difference?” asked the puzzled father.
”There’s a big difference,” replied the little girl.
”If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let go your hand . But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go.”
In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond.
So trust and hold the hand of the person who loves you rather than expecting them to hold yours…
“The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship”…. Ralph Waldo Emerson
One the other side……Love and Betrayal
It is seen that it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.Because though your enemies may be able to maim you, you can only be betrayed by someone you had trusted.
And when you’ve been fooled into thinking otherwise for many times , you start to let it affect you.You start to question everything and everyone, until you no longer know who you can trust.Trust is like a mirror..once it is broken, you can never look at it again.
If you say you can trust someone then you are admitting to something even greater than love. Trust involves all your thoughts and emotions to be given to someone so they can have. Trusting someone is knowing that you can be hurt so bad that none can even know. This is why trust is a word of great power.
And then, in one last resort to keep your heart, your soul, from breaking from the so many knives that have been put through it, when you lose all faith and the good of humanity, and that the world is all evil. You become a lost and bitter soul, longing for someone to prove you wrong.
“If you deceive someone, you lose one of life’s greatest treasures, you lose the capacity to trust. Because without trust, love is not possible.”…
…Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh
“We’re never so vulnerable than than when we trust someone-but paradoxically,if we cannot trust, neither can we find love or joy.”
…Walter Anderson
